SUPERCARS·LIFESTYLE

About

What this publication is for

Supercars Lifestyle is about one thing: what a supercar costs after the invoice is paid. Not which car is best, but what depreciation, servicing, insurance, tyres, tax and storage actually take out of an owner, where each figure was measured and what it is a percentage of. It is written in English for a worldwide readership and it is deliberately narrow: depreciation, servicing, insurance, running costs, tax and import, storage and transport.

The reason for the site is simple. Almost every ownership figure in circulation is quoted without the base that produced it, which is how the same sale is honestly described as losing 20 per cent and 33 per cent at the same time. A residual against list price and a residual against what was actually paid are different numbers. Name the base and most of the apparent contradictions in this subject disappear.

The rules we write by

What we do not do

There is no paid placement on this site, no manufacturer pays for coverage, and no article is written to order. If that ever changes for a specific piece, it will be marked as advertising at the top of the page, in plain words.

We also do not quote prices we have not seen published. Nothing here is presented as a workshop estimate we obtained. Where a figure comes from legislation, a tax authority, an insurer, a valuation study or a retailer's own price list, the article says which and links to it. Where the published figures disagree, we print both rather than picking the tidier one.

Corrections

If a figure here is wrong, we want to know. Write to info@nextao.de with the article and the source that contradicts it. Corrections are made in the article itself, with the change noted.

Images

Photographs on this site are generated with AI and illustrate the subject. They are not documentary records of a specific car, circuit, event or person, and no image should be read as evidence of anything described in the text.

Supercar Desk

The Supercar Desk covers what a car costs after the invoice is paid: service schedules, residual values, premiums, duty rates and storage. Every figure it publishes carries the source it came from, because most of the numbers in circulation carry none.
